Homicide detectives are probing the death of a teenage boy who was found outside a medical centre in Melbourne’s outer suburbs with serious injuries.

Victoria Police were called to the Craigieburn Community Hospital at Lygon Drive in Craigieburn about 7.50pm on Wednesday where the boy was located.

Emergency services worked on the boy but he died at the scene.

He’s yet to be formally identified.

A crime scene has been established, and Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death, police said in a statement.
