The 2027 Kia EV3 lineup will see the introduction of a dual-motor all-wheel drive flagship, according to a leaked dealer bulletin obtained by CarExpert.

Set to be priced from $66,490 plus on-road costs – or just $2500 more than the GT-Line FWD – the Kia EV3 GT-Line AWD brings improvements to acceleration and braking performance, as well as a "bespoke suspension and steering package".

System outputs increase to 195kW/385Nm from 150kW/283Nm, cutting the 0-100km/h claim from 7.9 seconds to 6.6s. Range, naturally sees a slight hit, with 559km of WLTP-certified driving range quoted versus 563km for the single-motor FWD equivalent.

The dealer bulletin also notes upsized brakes compared to the GT-Line FWD, while the bespoke suspension tune and steering software map likely gives a more sporting feel.

It's otherwise familiar GT-Line fare, with standard equipment otherwise unchanged for the dual-motor version – meaning highlights such as 19-inch alloys, LED projector-type headlights, Harman Kardon premium audio, as well as heated and ventilated front seats.

With that in mind, CarExpert understands the confirmation of only the GT-Line AWD could spell a dead-end for the EV3 GT in Australia, given it isn't mentioned anywhere in the dealer bulletin and doesn't offer all that much more power and performance.

Revealed in January, the Kia EV3 GT gets a more powerful 145kW front electric motor, which brings total system power to 215kW. The 0-100km/h time is cut further to 5.7 seconds, with GT-specific features including virtual gearshifts, electronically controlled suspension, performance tyres, as well as unique exterior and interior styling.

Kia EV3 sales are going much stronger in Australia so far this year, with 2658 units registered during the January-June period – an increase of 130.5 per cent.

It trails the larger EV5 by a couple hundred units (2951, up 6.7 per cent), but is now the second best-selling small SUV in over $45,000 VFACTS segment, behind only the BMW X1/iX1 range (2669, down 0.8 per cent).

Kia's dealer bulletin doesn't confirm national drive-away (D/A) pricing for the new flagship EV3, but for reference the EV3 GT-Line FWD is currently on offer from $68,490 D/A until July 31, 2026.

Stay tuned to CarExpert for more information following an official announcement from Kia Australia regarding the 2027 Kia EV3 lineup.
