On Monday, September 14, the actor arrived at the 78th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles wearing custom Prada, a Rolex watch and MIKIMOTO pearls; that alone is worth a separate article, but I could have spent the entire day zooming in on her beauty look.

The brief, according to celebrity makeup artist Ernesto Casillas, was essentially late-’90s red carpet beauty, but with a very Zendaya twist.

“I was inspired by sparkly crystals on her dress to maximise the glow and play with both frosty and satin textures with the makeup. It’s a callback to late 90’s makeup on the red carpets,” Ernesto said.

The skin was luminous without looking overly glossy, the eyes had that beautiful frosty quality that defined so much late-’90s beauty, while the lips were soft and glossy.

“I love when a pixie doesn’t feel overly ‘done’ — a little undone, a little polished, and full of movement from every angle,” Coree shared.
