The footage shows two people on dirt bikes waiting at the red light when a police officer runs into frame and attempts to apprehend one of the riders.
The rider then attempts to flee and ride off, dragging the officer into the major intersection and narrowly avoiding traffic before tipping over.
Another officer then runs into frame to aid their partner while the second rider peels off and drives away.
Police said neither the officer nor the rider involved were injured during the alleged incident.

It will be alleged that officers first spotted “a youth riding on his rear wheel and standing on the tail of his bike whilst weaving through traffic”.
The teenager was granted bail ahead of an appearance before a children’s court on July 21.
