One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has apologised over a controversial cartoon mocking independent senator Jacqui Lambie’s health condition, saying the video will be changed.
Hanson had refused to back down on Monday, insisting it was satirical and telling Lambie to ”lighten up” and “get over it”, but changed her tune on Tuesday.

“I respect people’s views and opinions out there and it wasn’t as tastefully done as it could have been and I do apologise for that,” Hanson told News24.
The latest cartoon in Hanson’s Please Explain series was condemned for making light of a vaginal and bladder prolapse Senator Lambie revealed she had suffered from.
More than 400,000 Australians are estimated to live with pelvic organ prolapse.
Lambie’s painful health condition, which required surgery and five months of leave, has been linked to her service in the Australian military.
“If you think it’s a laughable matter about women having problems with their reproductive system then you be my guest and you stand by her, but seriously, enough is enough,” Lambie told the ABC.

Hanson claimed she was not aware of the contents of the video before it was posted and she has asked the creator to “change it”.
“The video went up without my actually seeing it and I was not aware of the content of the video,” she said.
Liberal frontbencher Andrew Hastie, an ex-SAS soldier, previously hit out at the series after he was described as a traitor.
Hanson on Tuesday said she could potentially have more oversight of the cartoons before they go live.
“It does bear my name and I’ve got to take responsibility for that and I accept that,” she said.
Saturday’s video referencing Lambie’s condition remains available on Hanson’s X and YouTube pages.
