Actress Christina Applegate has shared an update on her life following a long stint in hospital amid her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis.

The Married with ... Children star first went public with her MS diagnosis in 2021 and has openly documented her journey with the long-lasting disease, which affects the brain and spinal cord.

In the new video shared on Monday, the actress is seen smiling and revealing her fresh blonde hair.

“Fresh hair color, new weird spot on my cheek haha thank you @davestanwell for brightening up my cloudy day. Love you and love to you all out there,” Applegate captioned the clip.

Applegate was hospitalised in March but assured fans she was “getting stronger every day”.

“Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes,” Applegate posted on Instagram in April.

“Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick and I’m getting stronger and better every day.

“I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough.”

Before the hospitalisation, Applegate released her memoir You with the Sad Eyes, which detailed her five-decade acting career, childhood and private battle with breast cancer and MS.

Applegate dedicated the memoir to her daughter, Sadie, 15, who she shares with husband Martyn LeNoble.

The Emmy-award winning actress was filming the final season of Netflix’s dark comedy Dead to Me when she was diagnosed.

“I was hiking and running and playing tennis in January 2021. By June of 2021, I couldn’t walk anymore, man,” she writes in the book.

“My daughter saw a parent that she loved dancing with and playing tennis with and hiking with, and doing all this stuff.

“And now she just sees this person in a bed, and it depresses her beyond anything.”

Despite battling the debilitating disease, Applegate still strives to make the most of the time with her daughter, like morning drives with The Beatles, The Cure or Marcy Playground blasting.

“When she gets home from school or whatever, we hang out and we talk and we laugh, and it’s the best,” Applegate said.

“She’s my dedication to life, man.”
