The Leapmotor B05 is about to enter an increasingly crowded small electric hatch segment in Australia.
Arriving in August, the rear-wheel drive B05 small car will take on rivals such as the BYD Dolphin and MG 4, with a choice of two trim levels and two batteries.
Leapmotor claims a 50:50 weight distribution, and says chassis tuning was conducted in Italy with its partner Stellantis, which owns brands such as Alfa Romeo and Maserati.
